"The mission of Upward Bound House is to eliminate homelessness among families with children in Los Angeles by providing housing, services and advocacy."

Upward Bound House focuses on rebuilding families by providing deep, intensive services including case management, a mandatory savings program, employment services, and assistance with housing placement.

Upward Bound House provides children's enrichment programs and also assists with school enrollment and reintegration.

Families at Upward Bound House are able to 'shop' for free in our Food Pantry to select items they need to make healthy meals. Families are also welcome to select clothing and household items in our on-site Hidden Treasures Thrift Shop.

This year CBS Television Distribution hosted the third annual Back-to-School celebration at Upward Bound House. CBS Television Distribution employees handed out backpacks filled with essential school supplies to the children in residence.

Throughout the year, Upward Bound House hosts events that involve the local community. The first annual Home Run for Kids attracted over 1,000 runners and raised thousands of dollars for Upward Bound House.
